Should the code not be

    let ret = px == py

    freeStablePtr py
    return ret

?

GHC already has physical equality testing via GHC.Exts.reallyUnsafePtrEquality#

No need to talk about OCaml's nan: Prelude> 0/0 NaN Prelude> 0/0 == 0/0 False
