I'm an aging engineer and a complete newbie, slowly learning Haskell when I have spare time (my day job is taken up on less abstract things).

I'm attracted by Haskell's apparently smaller semantic gap compared to imperative languages, though I understand so little about its subtleties that I haven't figured out whether I'm in a state of ignorance or a state of denial.

But I figure it this way: if I managed to understand ALGOL 68 from its 1976 revised report, how difficult can Haskell 1998 be by comparison?

In this wiki, I'm more likely to lurk, read and learn than to contribute. When I do contribute, I'm more likely to correct English grammar than Haskell syntax.
